I loooooove me some castle ruins, and England has plenty of ‘em! So en route to our next destination, we stopped at Conisbrough Castle for some fresh air and a little run’round!
Here we go with the garderobes again! Conisbrough had cool educational videos projected onto the walls of every floor in the Keep, so it is here that we learned about gong farmers. Kids found it strangely hilarious that it was someone’s job to clean out the garderobes. Is it only my kids that find poop so funny? I hope not.

Next up: Wookey Hole Caves! The caves were all decked out for the holidays, which was really festive and fun!
We took a day trip over to Cardiff, Wales to see…you guessed it…the castle!
And what better way to end the day than with hot chocolate and mulled wine!
