SCARBOROUGH

We took a day trip to Scarborough to visit…yoooooooou guessed it…a ruined castle! Sensing a theme now, are ya? After parking in a cemetery, literally, we hiked up the hill to Scarborough Castle and were greeted with lovely views.

AND APPARENTLY SCARBOROUGH CASTLE ISN’T HUMBLE ABOUT ITS VIEWS EITHER!

Historically, Scarborough Castle has consisted mainly of the Great Tower, with the borough living outside the walls, close to the sea.

NOW STAND HERE AND ACT LIKE I DIDN’T JUST ASK YOU TO DO THE SAME THING YESTERDAY. PLEASE.

The keep was closed to visitors, due to high winds, but we were plenty intrigued by the 150ft well.

And that’s a wrap on the Yorkshire Coast! Back home to finish up the last trimester of school and hopefully welcome in some summer weather!
