One of the things we miss most about our previous residence is daily access to a swimming pool. So, when trying to figure out where to go for our summer holiday, it wasn’t so much about where in the world we should go…as who had the best pool!
We found ourselves on Tenerife, within the Canary Islands of Spain. Every morning we woke up and thought, ‘how is this place real?!’. And every evening we closed the door and thought, ‘how amazing is it to leave the door open all day and not be swarmed with spiders and insects?!’.
The kids lived their best lives! They swam all day, every day. And loved it!

We still miss our community pool, but this was an amazing week! We all lived our best lives in this very private and special nook of Spain.
