Departure Day is looming. It is still so hard to believe that our time in England is coming to a close. It is a period of simultaneous looking forward, and reflecting back. So, as I contemplate how to tie a bow around this blog and our experiences, we’re excited to reveal our UK Superlatives!
- Most unbelievable adventure: Reindeer Races

A list much shorter than our European Superlatives, but a worthy list nonetheless! This has been an incredible opportunity for our family and years’ worth of memories we will cherish. I know most of my children will have no recollection of these beloved days and adventures, and that makes me quite emotional. This blog is for them. I hope they look back upon it and see how they grew and changed, how they overcame challenges, how they enjoyed a country and culture other than their own. I hope they are inspired to return to England someday, enjoy its splendors, and feel in their souls that they once called this place ‘home’.

Have no fear though, folks, this is not the final wrap party. More posts to come, I just have to take care of a few things first. Like moving a family of five across the ocean. Like maintaining a full-time job amidst all this chaos. Like putting a household together three days before forty of our favorite people descend upon our new address for Joe’s ceremony. Eeek!
